Yes there are now modifications available to make Region A/1 Blue-ray Dvds players Multi region. After they are modified they will play Region 1/A as well as Region 2/B and all other Blu-ray and Standard DVD regions. The discs labelled "Blue-Ray" at my local movieshop isn't Blu-Ray at all. The price is the same as the regular dvds, the quality is the same and they play in my Blue-Ray dvds player. The sales lady even told my gf that they are not Blue-Ray DVDs.
